Naturtheater Steinbach-Langenbach, Open-air theatre in Schleusegrund, Germany
Located between Steinbach and Langenbach in the Thuringian Forest, this 540-square-meter stage offers seating for 3,000 spectators in an amphitheater configuration.
The theatre construction began on June 23, 1955, following a community meeting decision to enhance cultural offerings in the forest villages of Thuringia.
The Meininger Theater performed Friedrich Schiller's 'The Robbers' as the inaugural production on July 10, 1957, directed by Fritz Bennewitz.
