Imaginata

Imaginata is a science center in Jena where visitors engage with displays through hands-on experiments and interactive stations. The building contains different areas designed to make scientific concepts directly observable and testable.

The center was built in a former industrial structure to continue Jena's tradition of scientific education and learning. This transformation created a new space for teaching and sharing science with the community.

The space serves as a gathering place where families explore scientific topics through hands-on discovery and direct observation. Visitors experience how these principles connect to their everyday world while working together on experiments.

Visitors should allow plenty of time for the various stations and wear comfortable shoes since there is much to explore. On-site facilities are available if you need a break between activities or want to spend an extended period.

The facility runs free Thursday afternoon programs where children can try outdoor science activities in a garden setting. These regular gatherings offer a casual way to explore and connect with other young learners.
