Modellbahnland Erzgebirge, Model railway exhibition in Thermalbad Wiesenbad, Germany
The exhibition spans 770 square meters, featuring 660 meters of track with 290 switches and two dozen large-scale trains operating simultaneously.
The facility opened in 2001, presenting detailed miniature recreations of the upper Ore Mountains region as it appeared in 1980.
The layout includes scale models of regional landmarks such as Pöhlberg, Bärenstein, and Fichtelberg mountains, along with the valleys of Sehma and Zschopau.
Visitors can explore the exhibition from Tuesday through Sunday between 10 AM and 4 PM, with extended hours during holiday periods.
The computer-controlled system incorporates day-night simulations every thirty minutes, illuminating 450 buildings and outdoor spaces throughout the display.
