Emir-Sultan-Moschee

The Emir Sultan Mosque is an Islamic place of worship in Darmstadt featuring two 27-meter minarets and a dedicated women's gallery inside the building. The structure brings together these functional elements in its overall layout.

The Turkish Islamic community in Darmstadt was founded in 1974 and established its current presence after construction began in 1996. The building was completed and occupied in 1999 on Mainzer Street.

This mosque serves as a central gathering place for Darmstadt's Turkish community and hosts regular meetings and cultural events. The interior spaces are designed specifically for communal prayer and social activities.

This was the first mosque construction project by the European Turkish-Islamic Union in Germany and represents a significant milestone in the development of Islamic architecture in the country.
