Electrum, Technology museum in Harburg, Germany
The Electrum Museum presents numerous electrical devices, including radios, toasters, and televisions that demonstrate technological advancement through the decades.
The collection originated from Hamburg Electricity Works in the 1920s, which gathered equipment for training their employees about electrical innovations.
The museum showcases the transformation of daily life through electrical devices, from the first metal extraction machine in 1873 to modern applications.
Visitors can participate in guided tours every Sunday at 2 PM, which are included in the admission price and feature demonstrations of specific devices.
The museum collection moved to its current location in Harburger Schlossstrasse in 2011 after being closed in 2001 due to financial constraints.
