Église du Rédempteur, Gothic Revival church in Rummelsburg, Berlin, Germany.
The Church of the Redeemer extends over a 2,000 square meter area with red brick walls and large gothic-style windows.
Empress Augusta-Victoria laid the first stone of the church on May 4, 1890, marking the beginning of a program to build 52 churches.
During the 1980s, the church provided a gathering space for peace activists and Lutheran congregants who opposed the communist regime.
The church underwent a complete restoration between 2000 and 2007 to maintain its structural integrity and architectural elements.
The church features a Soviet Army memorial on its left forecourt, commemorating the casualties of the Battle of Berlin.
