Entenschnabel Glienicke, Former district boundary in Glienicke/Nordbahn, Germany

The Entenschnabel area extends approximately 570 meters into Berlin from Brandenburg, with an average width of 120 meters at its broadest section.

Between 1961 and 1989, this border section contained multiple underground tunnels used by East Germans attempting to reach West Berlin.

Local residents named this section Entenschnabel, meaning duck's beak, due to its characteristic shape protruding into Berlin's territory.

The area connects to Berlin through the street Am Sandkrug, which runs parallel to Oranienburger Chaussee and includes memorial plaques along the B96 highway.

At its narrowest point, the Glienicker peninsula measures only 50 meters across, creating a distinct geographical feature in the Berlin-Brandenburg border.
