Evangelisch-reformierte Kirche Wölfersheim, Baroque church in Wölfersheim, Germany
The Evangelical Reformed Church of Wölfersheim is a Baroque building with a 37 meter tower and three main entrances topped with grand staircases on the southern side. Inside, it holds roughly 700 people and features wooden galleries, plus wheelchair access.
Construction took place from 1717 to 1741 on the foundation of an older castle that once stood here. A surviving defense tower from that castle was incorporated into the new design.
The congregation gathers here to practice Reformed Protestant faith, and the interior's wooden galleries reflect the values of this tradition.
The building sits on a hillside and can be reached by standard pathways. Its wheelchair-accessible features allow people with mobility challenges to enter and explore.
This structure ranks among Germany's largest self-supporting Baroque hall churches built without internal pillars. The roof is covered with slate tiles arranged in a distinctive mansard style.
