Maille

Maille is a park situated on an island between two waterways, with walking paths shaded by chestnut and linden trees throughout. The open areas provide plenty of space to wander and rest under the trees.

The name originates from an 18th century lawn game once played in such spaces, while organized tree planting took place between 1751 and 1752. This early landscaping shaped the park's layout as it exists today.

The park has long been a gathering place for local celebrations and community events throughout the year. People from the city use it today as a space to walk and spend time outdoors.

The park is easily reached by crossing nearby bridges, with a café close by for resting and refreshments. Wear sturdy shoes, particularly if the paths are wet from recent rain.

Within the grounds sits a former factory site that now functions as a cultural center for the community. A striking residential building from the early 1900s stands as an architectural reminder of the area's past industrial character.
