Siemens-Hochhaus

Siemens-Hochhaus, High-rise office building in Mitte, Germany

The Siemens-Hochhaus is a modern office building with 16 floors that rises 61 meters and helps define Bremen's business district. The facade features clean lines and rows of large windows, giving it a strictly geometric appearance.

This high-rise was built starting in 1965, marking Bremen's economic growth after World War Two. It was part of a broader trend where German companies constructed new, spacious office buildings to accommodate their expanding operations.

The building shows how companies organized workplaces in the 1960s and valued functional design above decoration. Walking past it, you notice how efficiency and clean lines were central to how offices were built back then.

The building has seven elevators and around 350 workspaces spread across multiple floors that are well organized and easy to navigate. It sits in a central location with direct access to public transportation, making it straightforward to reach.

The building has kept its original purpose since the 1960s and is still used by Siemens as a regional administrative hub. This long and stable use is unusual for a high-rise that never needed to change its function.
