Ludwig Krumm founded a small leather workshop in 1856 that expanded under his seven sons and eventually became an internationally known brand. This growth reflected Germany's emergence as a leading leather goods exporter in the 20th century.

The name Goldpfeil comes from the Golden Arrow luxury train and was registered as a trademark in 1930 to symbolize German craftsmanship. The workshop demonstrates how local artisans transformed their skills into high-quality leather goods.

The workshop is located in Offenbach am Main, where you can follow the handcrafting process and observe the different production stages. Visitors have access to the workshops and can watch the craftsmen at work.

During the 1930s, the company exported more than one-fifth of all German leather goods worldwide. This impressive output demonstrated the technical skill and production capacity that gave the brand its global importance.
