Schloss Rentweinsdorf, Royal palace in Rentweinsdorf, Bavaria, Germany.
The three-winged Rococo palace features a central Great Hall adorned with faiences and decorative stucco work, surrounded by an English-style landscaped garden.
Construction of the palace began in 1751 under architect Johann David Steingruber, commissioned by Johann Friedrich II von Rotenhan to replace the previous structure damaged in wars.
The von Rotenhan family has maintained continuous residence in the palace since the 13th century, representing generations of noble heritage in the Haßberge region.
The palace remains a private residence and access to the interior spaces requires specific arrangements, while the surrounding park offers views of the baroque orangery.
Sebastian von Rotenhan, a member of the residing family, created the first comprehensive map of Franconia in 1519, marking the family's influence in regional cartography.
