The manor features a baroque architectural design with decorative rococo elements on the park gate and neogothic columns on its facade.

First mentioned in 1377 as tho Caden, the estate belonged to the Alverslo knights before being acquired by King Christian I of Denmark.

The manor, designed by northern German architect Ernst Georg Sonnin in 1754, represents the architectural style of 18th-century Schleswig-Holstein estates.

The estate now functions as a golf club with a restaurant and offers its elegant rooms for events and celebrations.

The Ahlefeldt family owned the property for 250 years, expanding the estate grounds until financial circumstances forced its sale in 1754.
