Evangelisch-lutherische Marienkirche
Evangelisch-lutherische Marienkirche, Gothic church in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The brick church features high pointed arches, large windows, and a tall spire reaching toward the sky in traditional Gothic style construction.
The Marienkirche, constructed in the 13th century, sustained damage during World War II but maintains its original structural elements and architectural integrity.
The church contains 27 bells that perform over 200 melodies, including seafaring songs from May to October and Christmas music during the advent season.
Visitors can access the church daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with regular bell performances at noon and 6:00 PM at Grazer Straße 15.
The church functions as both a religious center and a musical landmark, with its carillon system marking important times throughout the day.
