Haustierhof Reutemühle is an animal park spread across green grounds with over 200 different animal species, ranging from domestic to exotic creatures. The facility features specially designed enclosures where visitors can observe the animals in settings that resemble their natural habitats.
The facility was established as a collection site for endangered domestic animal breeds and achieved recognition in the Guinness Book of Records. This approach has since become established as an important place for protecting rare breeds.
The site allows visitors to experience different domestic animal species firsthand and understand how to care for them responsibly. Interaction with the animals creates a direct connection to proper animal husbandry practices.
The park is open from April through October, and visitors can purchase feeding bags at the entrance to interact with animals between 10:00 and 20:00 daily. Well-maintained paths wind through the grounds, making the visit easy and accessible for families with children.
Visitors can meet some of the world's smallest sheep breeds here and watch coatis display their impressive climbing abilities in custom-built enclosures. These special areas were designed to show how these animals naturally move and behave.
