Heilig-Geist-Kirche, Catholic church in Bielefeld, Germany
The Heilig-Geist-Kirche features an octagonal layout with a diameter of 21 meters and reaches a height of 22 meters.
Built between 1966 and 1968, the church was designed by Professor Dieter Georg Baumewerd from Münster and supervised by Rainer Maria Kresing.
The church interior displays various artworks, including modern stained glass windows and sculptures created by Aachen artist Thomas Torkler.
The church offers regular religious ceremonies, including baptisms, weddings, and funerals, and remains open to visitors throughout the year.
Six bells hang in the church tower, with two operated mechanically while four require manual ringing by altar servers.
