Herz-Jesu-Kirche, Filial church in Eschweiler, Germany.

Herz-Jesu-Kirche is a neo-Gothic filial church in Eschweiler featuring clustered pillars and vaulted ceilings in its interior. The building displays characteristic design elements of this architectural style with vertical lines and pointed arches.

Construction began in 1938 for the mining settlements on Eschweiler's eastern edge, whose parish had grown through the 1920s with newcomers from the Saarland, Poland and Silesia. Work halted for months because of the Westwall building programme and the church was completed in 1939. Benediction followed on 12 November 1939, and Leo Appelrath became the first pastor of the district in March 1940. It was deconsecrated in June 2015 and listed as a monument on 5 March 2020.

The church is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, showing direct veneration of Christ rather than traditional saint worship. Visitors can see this theological focus reflected in how the interior space is arranged and decorated.

The deconsecrated church at Dürener Straße 247 now houses a WABe e. V. social store selling clothing, furniture and toys; customers must show proof of need such as Grundsicherung, a low pension notice or BAföG. It stands in Eschweiler-Ost, about 2 km from Eschweiler Hauptbahnhof.

The church was built in 1938–1939, but work was halted for months because of the construction of the Westwall about 20 km to the southwest. It was consecrated on 12 November 1939, and since 5 March 2020 it has been a protected monument. Since August 2022 a WABe e. V. social store has occupied the deconsecrated building.
