Hofanlage Milz, Cultural heritage estate in Retterschen, Kressbronn am Bodensee, Germany
The Hofanlage Milz estate comprises four separate buildings, including a main house, carriage house, barn, and bakery, representing different architectural periods.
The estate dates back to the year 800 when it belonged to the Abbey of Saint Gall, later changing ownership to the Huster family in 1680.
The buildings display the evolution of farming practices in the region, from grain cultivation and wine production to dairy farming and fruit growing.
The Society for the Preservation of Hofanlage Milz organizes guided tours and events to showcase the historical buildings and gardens to visitors.
The main residence, constructed in 1855, maintains its original interior furnishings, demonstrating the modest living conditions of rural inhabitants.
