Herrenhaus Blankensee

Herrenhaus Blankensee is a two-story baroque building with a mansard roof and a central gable entrance located in Trebbin, Brandenburg. The structure serves today as an event venue and can be explored through guided tours that focus on its historical rooms and the Sudermann memorial chamber.

An earlier castle once stood on this site but was destroyed by fires in 1615 and 1655. Christian Wilhelm von Thümen rebuilt the location with the current baroque manor between 1739 and 1741, which later became home to the writer Sudermann.

The manor became home to writer Hermann Sudermann, whose presence is preserved today in a dedicated memorial room where visitors can see how this early 20th-century author arranged his workspace. The rooms reflect the atmosphere of a literary life lived here during his most productive years.
