Schacky-Park, English garden in Dießen am Ammersee, Germany.

Schacky-Park is an English garden spanning about 18 hectares, crisscrossed by paved paths, arbors, and carefully arranged tree groupings. The grounds feature classical garden elements including a Monopteros pavilion, a tea house, espalier apple trees, and multiple fountains with statues distributed throughout.

Ludwig Freiherr von Schacky auf Schönfeld and his wife Julia created the grounds between 1903 and 1913 as their summer residence, following English garden designs of the period. The park reflects the taste and ideals of the upper class at that time and survives as an example of early 20th-century garden culture.

The park served as a gathering place for artists and cultural figures from the region, who organized exhibitions and events here over many decades. Today, visitors can discover art installations and attend cultural programs that take place throughout the year.

The grounds are easily walkable on paved paths and offer plenty of space for strolling and exploring at a relaxed pace. Visitors should plan to spend time in different areas, as the park contains several quiet corners and structures that are easy to miss on a quick visit.

The park once served as an important meeting place for artists and intellectuals who gathered here for informal gatherings and creative exchange. This history as an artistic hub continues to shape how the grounds are used today and attracts people drawn to art and cultural activities.
