Schloss Pichl, Medieval château in Pichl district, Aindling, Germany.
Schloss Pichl is a medieval castle in the municipality of Aindling in Bavaria. The pale stone structure rises on elevated ground surrounded by dense forests and enclosed by geometric gardens that frame the estate northeast of town.
The castle first appears on Philipp Apian's maps of Bavaria from 1560, documenting its presence since the early modern period. It remained under the von Schaezler family's ownership until 1980, when it passed to new proprietors.
The castle hosts the Naturgeisterfest, where performers in costumes present traditional folk dances and musical performances. Visitors experience a blend of local customs and theatrical presentations that bring the region's cultural heritage to life.
The site is located at Schloßallee 6 in Aindling and now serves as a cultural venue hosting various events. The surrounding woodlands provide good conditions for a visit, while the castle's elevated position offers natural views across the surrounding landscape.
From 1979 to 2011, the castle functioned as a specialized therapy center providing rehabilitation services for people with substance dependencies. This role shaped several decades of the site's history before it became the cultural venue it is today.
