Tiergarten Hannover, Historical zoo in Kirchrode, Germany

The Tiergarten Hannover spans across forested grounds where visitors can observe deer, wild pigs, and other native animals in natural surroundings.

The park originated in 1679 when Duke Johann Friedrich designated a portion of forest as a hunting reserve, establishing boundaries and introducing fallow deer.

The annual Tiergarten Festival in October brings together families from across the region to experience wildlife and educational programs.

The park maintains daily opening hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with accessible pathways suitable for wheelchair users throughout the grounds.

Within the forest enclosure, different species of deer including red deer, roe deer, and fallow deer roam freely among ancient trees.
