Klippenturm

The Klippenturm is a stone observation tower located on the Luhdener Klippen near Rinteln, sitting at approximately 300 meters above sea level. This roughly 20-meter-tall structure offers panoramic views across the surrounding landscape and the Weser Mountains.

This tower was built in 1889 by the Rintelner Beautification Association, funded through a local lottery. Its opening on August 18, 1889 marked the beginning of its role as a regional landmark.

This tower serves as a gathering place where visitors and locals come together during different seasons. The regular events held here shape how people in the region connect with one another.

The tower sits on a forested hill and is reached via a walking trail from a nearby parking area. Wear sturdy shoes and bring weather protection, as conditions can change quickly.

From the tower's top, visitors can look out in multiple directions across the wide landscape below. This all-around perspective has made it a favorite spot for hikers and nature lovers since it opened.
