The manor construction began in the sixteenth century as a private residence and underwent substantial modifications through subsequent centuries.
The castle grounds host numerous events throughout the year, including medieval fairs, jousting tournaments, pottery markets, and Highland games.
The building houses the Angelbachtal town hall offices following its purchase by the municipality in the 1980s from private owners.
During Whitsun celebrations, over 40,000 colored candles illuminate the castle park, transforming it into an illuminated landscape.
