Monastery of the Franciscan nuns

The Maria Stern monastery includes structures along Sterngasse, with the Vordere Lech river flowing beneath the religious complex through underground passages.

Founded in 1258 by two Augsburg sisters named Canione, the monastery's church was constructed between 1574 and 1576 by architect Johannes Holl.
