Kloster Gehrden, Benedictine monastery in Brakel, Germany.

The former monastery complex includes a cross-shaped basilica church with a western tower constructed in the early 13th century.

Founded in 1142 by Bishop Bernhard I of Oesede, the monastery relocated from Iburg and received land donations from nobleman Heinrich von Gehrden.

The monastery church contains the largest historical bell collection in Westphalia, maintaining centuries of religious musical traditions.

The monastery buildings now function as a hotel, offering accommodations to visitors in the preserved historical structures.

A large linden tree known as the Twelve Apostles Linden grows in the garden, measuring 10 meters in circumference and 20 meters in height.
