Kloster Hofen

Kloster Hofen is a former Benedictine monastery in Friedrichshafen, situated on the shores of Lake Constance. The complex features a large convent building connected to a church with elaborate stucco decorations throughout its interior.

The monastery was founded in 1085 and served as a religious center for centuries. After its destruction by Swedish forces during the Thirty Years' War, it was rebuilt but eventually dissolved in 1803.

The monastery served as a spiritual center that shaped community life in the surrounding area. The religious community guided activities at the parish church of St. Andreas and Pantaleon, influencing how people organized their religious practices.
