Krausnickpark, Public park in Berlin-Mitte, Germany.
Krausnickpark is a green space in central Berlin arranged in a triangular shape between three streets and covering approximately 22,100 square meters. The grounds contain two playgrounds and several garden areas that structure the space.
The land functioned as agricultural ground growing fruit and vegetables during the 18th century before later being converted into a public park. This transformation turned the former agricultural plots into a place for recreation and community gardening.
The park hosts vegetable gardens where neighbors grow their own plants, including a traditional growing area with maize, climbing beans, and squash. These gardens show how the community keeps the space alive and uses it together.
The main entrance on Oranienburger Straße has wheelchair ramps for accessible entry, making it easy for people with limited mobility to visit. The two playgrounds and garden areas are straightforward to explore from there.
The site underwent a major redesign in 2006 with upgraded facilities to create its current layout. This modernization shaped it into a popular meeting place for the neighborhood.
