Königstadt-Carrée, Mixed-use development in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Germany.
Königstadt-Carrée is a mixed-use building at the Otto-Braun-Straße intersection housing retail shops, office space, and hotel rooms across 21 floors. The structure reaches 80 meters high and features a contemporary glass exterior that responds to its urban location.
Construction started in 2007 on a site previously occupied by an empty office building. The project transformed the location into a center for retail, business, and hospitality activities.
The glass-facade structure represents contemporary German architectural design principles while accommodating international businesses including the Mercedes-Benz Bank headquarters.
The building is situated near Schillingstraße subway station and Alexanderplatz, providing easy access by public transport. Underground parking is available for visitors and employees working within the complex.
Finnish pension provider Ilmarinen and a French institutional investor acquired the property in a 50:50 joint venture for more than 100 million euros.
