Alpspitzbahn Nesselwang, Cable car station in Nesselwang, Germany
Alpspitzbahn Nesselwang is an aerial lift system combining an 8-person gondola with a 4-person chairlift to carry visitors from the village to 1500 meters elevation. The facility comprises multiple lift installations that together extend approximately 5 kilometers across the mountainside.
The first combined lift system was installed in 2006, modernizing transportation to Alpspitze mountain. Since then, the infrastructure has continuously served visitors seeking access to the summit.
The mountain restaurant serves regional Allgäu specialties while offering views across the Alpine landscape shared between Germany and Austria. Visitors can enjoy local dishes while overlooking the surrounding peaks.
The lift system handles large volumes of visitors per hour, making long waits rare especially during quieter periods. Comfortable walking shoes and weather-resistant clothing are advisable since conditions at the summit can change quickly.
The facility includes the AlpspitzKICK, Germany's fastest zipline, and AlpspitzSPLASH, a floating climbing wall over a reservoir. These additions attract thrill-seekers alongside traditional mountain visitors.
