Lingnerschloss, Heritage château in Loschwitz, Germany

Lingnerschloss is a stately home in neo-Renaissance style positioned on elevated ground with views toward the Elbe River. Its symmetrical facades and ornate stone details on the exterior reveal the wealth and taste of its original builders.

Construction took place between 1851 and 1856 when it served as a summer residence for a wealthy family. It later passed to industrialist Karl August Lingner, who transformed it into a center for culture and exhibitions.

The castle serves as a gallery space where visitors encounter artworks by regional artists displayed throughout its rooms. These rotating exhibitions show how the building continues to play a role in the local art scene today.

The property is accessible by foot from the city center and has parking nearby for those arriving by car. Guided tours are regularly offered and provide deeper insight into the building's history and design.

The rooms contain original machinery and documents from Lingner's Odol toothpaste production facility, which changed how people approached dental care in the early 1900s. These industrial artifacts tell the story of how a businessman reinvented himself as a cultural patron.
