The Lobdengau Museum occupies a former medieval royal court building and presents regional artifacts across four exhibition levels within stone walls.
Established in 1909, the museum stands on the foundations of Lopodunum, a Roman settlement that preceded the current town of Ladenburg.
The museum exhibits document the evolution of Jewish and Christian communities through collections of religious and everyday objects from medieval times.
Visitors can explore the museum collections on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 17:00 and during weekends from 11:00 to 17:00 with wheelchair access.
The collection contains archaeological findings from prehistoric periods discovered directly beneath the museum building during its construction phases.
