Max-Eyth-See, Recreational lake in Stuttgart-Hofen, Germany.

Max-Eyth-See is a recreational lake in Stuttgart's Hofen district, directly connected to the Neckar River. Its waters are surrounded by wide paths for jogging, cycling, and walking, with designated areas for swimming and water activities.

The lake formed in the 1930s from an abandoned quarry and took its name from an engineer and writer of that era. This transformation of an industrial site into a recreational space shaped the area as it exists today.

The lake serves as a gathering place for locals who walk its shores, meet with family, or rest by the water. Waterfowl such as swans and herons are regularly seen here and have become part of the landscape that residents know and enjoy.

The shoreline is easily accessible with parking available and seating areas at several spots around the lake. Visitors can rent pedal boats, rowing boats, and electric boats to explore the water.

A bridge connecting two sections of the lake is affectionately nicknamed the 'Golden Gatele' by locals, a playful reference to San Francisco's Golden Gate. This name reflects how residents regard their lake with humor and warmth.
