Luftmunitionsanstalt Hartmannshain

Luftmunitionsanstalt Hartmannshain is a former German Air Force ammunition facility with preserved bunkers, building structures, and infrastructure networks spread across the grounds. The site features railroad connections and paved roads that now serve as visitor pathways through the complex.

Built in 1936, the facility was one of 74 ammunition plants established by the German Air Force to supply its operations. After 1945, the site transitioned from military use to become a place of remembrance and historical study.

The site now houses the MUNA Museum, which offers visitors insight into the military history of the region through exhibits and presentations. The place is maintained by local preservation organizations and honors the memory of those who worked there.

The site is accessible through organized tours that guide visitors through preserved structures and offer historical context. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the grounds feature uneven surfaces and older infrastructure throughout.
