Murner See

Located at 395 meters elevation in Bavaria, Murner See extends across 94 hectares of water surface between Wackersdorf and Schwarzenfeld municipalities.

The lake originated from an open-pit mining operation, which was later filled with water to create a recreational water feature in the Oberpfälzer Seenland region.

The lake serves as a central gathering place for local residents who participate in water sports, swimming, and outdoor activities throughout the seasonal calendar.

Visitors can access designated swimming areas, parking facilities, camping spots, and food establishments located along the perimeter of the lake.

The lake reaches depths of 50 meters and provides opportunities for diverse water activities including sailing, kiteboarding, diving, and fishing.
