Museum für Wasser, Bad und Design, Sanitary technology museum in Schiltach, Germany
The Museum für Wasser, Bad und Design displays extensive collections of historical bathrooms, water systems, and sanitary installations spanning multiple centuries.
Founded in 1997 by Hansgrohe company, the museum initially operated as a traveling exhibition before settling permanently at the company headquarters in 2007.
The exhibits document the progression of European bathing customs from medieval times through the 20th century, including post-war developments and design innovations.
Located within the Hansgrohe Aquademie complex, the museum provides guided tours and maintains a collection of copper bathtubs and plumbing workshops from 1910.
Visitors can examine the first adjustable hand shower 'Selecta' and the 'Uno' faucet, which received the iF Design Award in 1986.
