Neustädter Kirche, Erlangen, Lutheran church in downtown Erlangen, Germany
The Neustädter Kirche features a 60-meter tower with four sections displaying Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian capitals, culminating in an octagonal attachment.
Construction of the church began in 1722, but financial constraints led to extensive fundraising efforts before its dedication in December 1737.
The church serves as a university church for Friedrich-Alexander-University since 1837 and maintains regular worship services with organ music performances.
The church building contains three main entrances with original locks and fittings from its construction period and arranged seating rows.
The church organ, built in 2004 by Goll from Lucerne, incorporates historical components and features 45 stops across three manuals and pedal.
