Rasti-Land, Amusement park in Salzhemmendorf, Germany
Rasti-Land is an amusement park covering roughly 16 hectares with more than 50 attractions of different types. The facilities include family roller coasters, water slides, adventure zones, and an indoor dinosaur-themed area for younger children.
The park was founded in 1973 when architect Ludwig Ratzke transformed a former gravel quarry into a leisure destination. This conversion near Benstorf created a new recreational space in the region.
The historical fairground section includes traditional carousels and a steam train that recall the character of early amusement parks.
The park is open year-round with both outdoor attractions and indoor areas to accommodate different weather conditions. Visitors should bring change of clothes and sun protection depending on the season and planned activities.
A notable feature is the interactive Africa Photo Safari where visitors photograph animals while driving through a themed area and accumulate points. This game element transforms the experience from passive observation into active participation.
