Schloss Ebeleben, Baroque château in Ebeleben, Germany
The S-shaped castle complex sits within a French-style park featuring terraces, water features, fountains, and numerous mythological sculptures spanning 300 meters in length.
From 1651 to 1681, the castle served as the residence of the Schwarzburg-Ebeleben lineage after Count Ludwig Günther II transformed the medieval fortress into a baroque palace.
The castle garden displays multiple baroque sculptures, including works by Christian Johann Biedermann depicting hunting scenes and figures of Minerva, Flora, and Neptune.
The Karl Marien House, formerly the palm house and orangery building constructed in 1774, now functions as a café for park visitors.
The garden's primary axis deviates from typical baroque design by connecting to the castle through a secondary axis at nearly right angles.
