Schloss Guteborn is a Renaissance château with four stories and corner towers topped by domed roofs. The entire structure was enclosed by protective walls and surrounded by a moat for defense.
The castle was home to the Gersdorff family from 1397 until 1622. Ownership then passed to the von Hoym family and eventually to the princes of Schönburg-Waldenburg.
The chapel on the grounds features baroque architecture with a bell tower that rises above the surrounding landscape. The organ inside reflects how music and faith held importance in the daily life of those who lived here.
