Schloss Ippenburg, Cultural heritage château in Bad Essen, Germany.
The neo-Gothic Schloss Ippenburg stands amid gardens with multiple sections, including a kitchen garden, rose garden, and water playground area.
First documented in 1345 as castrum Ybbenborg, the current structure was built between 1862 and 1867 by Count Wilhelm von dem Bussche.
The castle gardens became renowned for hosting garden festivals from 1998 to 2019, attracting visitors from across the region.
The von dem Bussche family opened the castle gardens to the public in 2021, offering access to various outdoor attractions throughout the year.
The castle grounds feature a barefoot path where visitors can experience different natural textures while walking through the estate.
