St. Peter und Paul

The church structure dates back to 1107 when Bishop Heinrich von Eberstein-Tengling consecrated it following the establishment of a Benedictine monastery.

The interior frescoes, restored during the 1906 renovation, display artistic motifs derived from Romanesque manuscript illumination techniques and religious symbolism.

The church maintains regular visiting hours and connects to a sculpture path that extends through the grounds of the former Benedictine monastery.

The building survived a proposed demolition in the 19th century when local priest Joseph Anton Immler recognized its architectural value and initiated restoration efforts.
