The Augsburg Textile and Industry Museum occupies a former worsted spinning mill building, featuring extensive displays of industrial machinery and textile manufacturing processes.

The museum building began as the Augsburg Worsted Spinning Mill in 1836, employing 2000 workers during its peak as Germany's largest worsted spinning facility.
