Basilika St. Marcellinus und Petrus

The basilica features three rounded arch portals in its western facade, leading to an entrance area with baroque statues of Saints Marcellinus and Peter.

Originally built in the 9th century during the Carolingian period, the church underwent substantial baroque renovations in preparation for the abbey's 900th anniversary in 1725.

The church holds regular Catholic services and maintains a prominent position in religious life as part of the Seligenstadt Abbey complex.

Visitors can access the basilica through a staircase flanked by statues, with the main entrance facing west and additional entrances available through side portals.

The church houses a Wilbrand organ from 1981, featuring 50 registers across three manuals and pedals, renovated by Hugo Mayer in 1999.
