Studentenwerk München is a service organization that handles housing, meal programs, and financial support for approximately 140,000 students across 16 universities in Munich and Upper Bavaria. It manages more than 9,000 residential units and operates multiple dining facilities at different campus locations.

Founded in 1920, this student service network emerged in Germany after World War I to support university students. It became part of a nationwide system of similar organizations serving higher education institutions.
