Trutzburg Heppenheim, Modern castle in Heppenheim, Germany.
The castle structure stands on a hillside location approximately one kilometer southeast of Starkenburg, featuring stone walls and architectural elements.
Built in 2004 by beekeeper Volker Sieradzki, the castle project began as an environmental center for children but faced legal challenges from authorities.
The castle generated support from Heppenheim residents who expressed their views through letters and statements in local newspapers regarding its preservation.
The site remained accessible until June 6, 2012, when demolition works ordered by the building authority of Bergstrasse district began in the morning hours.
Despite lacking building permits, this unauthorized construction project received regional media coverage through Hessenschau television and radio broadcasts.
