The museum traces its origins to Gustav Ferdinand Thaulow's collection, established in Kiel in 1878 and relocated to Schleswig after World War II.
The museum's collection includes 50,000 historical photographs documenting architecture, daily life, and agricultural work throughout Schleswig-Holstein region.
Admission costs 8 euros for adults, 6 euros for reduced tickets, 3 euros for children, and 17 euros for families with children aged 7-17.
The institution holds one of Germany's largest collections of pre-mechanization agricultural equipment and workshop installations from forty different trades.
