Wallfahrtskirche Mariä Himmelfahrt

The Wallfahrtskirche Mariä Himmelfahrt features strong composite wall pillars, vaulted ceilings, and ceiling frescoes created by Johann Huber in 1786 point.

After the collapse of the nave vault in 1782, Mathias Rösler rebuilt the church while preserving the late Gothic choir and tower base.

The church serves as a central religious site in Upper Bavaria, with statues of twelve apostles adorning the wall pillars, some created by Christian Jorhan.

Located at Ruprechtsberg 3 in Dorfen, the church contains two organs: the main organ with 40 registers and a separate choir organ.

The bell tower houses six bells, with five steel bells cast in 1949 and one historic bronze bell dating from 1795.
