Schloss Weitenburg

Schloss Weitenburg is a stone castle perched on a hilltop above the Neckar River valley, featuring traditional architectural design elements throughout its structure. The property is surrounded by extensive gardens that form an integral part of the estate.

The Barons of Rassler acquired the castle in 1720, establishing a family presence that would span generations. Today the ninth generation of the family continues to manage the property, representing an unusual continuity of ownership.

The Neo-Gothic chapel on the grounds serves as a wedding venue for civil ceremonies and regularly hosts cultural events. Visitors can experience how this space blends its ceremonial role with its function as an active cultural gathering place.

The castle operates as a three-star hotel with 25 rooms, serving a daily breakfast buffet in its dining facilities. The on-site restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, making it accessible even for day visitors who want to experience the interior.

The castle is unique in Baden-Württemberg as the only one where the owner personally manages both the hotel and restaurant operations. This hands-on involvement shapes the personal character and service that visitors experience during their stay.
