Wetzendorf, Statistical district in Nuremberg, Germany

Wetzendorf is a statistical district (Bezirk 72) in the northwest of Nuremberg, about three kilometres from the city centre on the southeastern edge of the Knoblauchsland. It comprises seven sub-districts, including the Kriegsopfersiedlung in the west, which lies outside the Wetzendorf cadastral area. The former village core developed around today's district 722, and farms in the area mainly grow vegetables.

Wetzendorf was first documented in 1146 and grew on the site of today's district 722 and the land just south of it. By the late 18th century it counted 32 farmsteads, with village authority held by Nuremberg's alms office. It passed to Prussia in 1796 and to Bavaria in 1806, became a rural municipality in 1808, and was incorporated into Nuremberg on 1 January 1899.

Wetzendorf lies on the southeastern edge of the Knoblauchsland, and its farms mainly grow vegetables. Since the Reformation the village has been predominantly Protestant: Lutheran residents belong to the Versöhnungskirche parish, Catholic residents to St. Michael. The name survives in the Wetzendorfer Straße and in statistical district 722, where the old village once stood.

Wetzendorf lies about three kilometres northwest of Nuremberg's centre, on the southeastern edge of the Knoblauchsland. Its position off the main traffic routes keeps through traffic away from the residential streets. The statistical district 72 is split into seven parts, numbered 720 to 726; districts 725 and 726 belong to the Thon neighbourhood, and 720 Kriegsopfersiedlung lies in the west but outside the Wetzendorf Gemarkung.
